Education is the MOST POWERFUL WEAPON which you can use to CHANGE THE WORLD (By, “Nelson Mandela”)
Out of 100 students, 29% of girls and boys drop out from school before completing, the full cycle of elementary education. Approximately, 50% of adolescents do not complete secondary education, while approximately 20 million children do not attend pre-school. (source – UNICEF, India website).
On 4 August 2009, The Right to Education Act 2009, also known as the RTE Act 2009, was passed by The Parliament of India. It describes the importance of free and compulsory education for children aged between 6-14 years in India under Article 21 (A) of the Constitution of India. On 1 April 2010, RTE came into action and India became one of the 135 countries to have made education a fundamental right for every child.
We understand every child is unique with immense capabilities, but unfortunately not every child gets access to basic quality education due to a lack of facilities, poverty, family responsibilities at every early age, etc., therefore we are determined to provide each child with at least one opportunity to thrive that every child deserves, so no child should be deprived of fundamental human right. We never know one of these kids can became the Prime-minister or the President of our nation or perhaps represent India on global stage.
